About
There is a study most people have never heard of.
Researchers went into fifty-two Black-owned barbershops in Los Angeles and enrolled 319 men with uncontrolled high blood pressure. Not a clinic. The barbershops the men already went to. Barbers raised it, pharmacists treated it, and systolic pressure fell 21 mmHg further than in the control group. It held at twelve months. It was published in theNew England Journal of Medicine.
What that proves is not that barbers practise medicine. It is that the reason men go untreated is almost never the medicine. It is the door.
Men do not book appointments. They will sit in the same chair every three weeks for a decade, but let a symptom run for two years rather than walk into a clinic and explain it.
And when a man finally does go looking, he finds clinics that treat one thing. Testosterone. A clinic that only treats testosterone can only look for testosterone. You do not test for what you cannot act on.
Low energy and low libido come from at least six places. So this practice checks all of it first, then treats what is actually there. Often that is testosterone. Often it is the second thing nobody looked for.
The Barber Andrology is a practice of JE Harris Nursing LLC. This is the same legal entity, under a new name.
