Anal Botox (HoleTox)
Anal Botox -- known as HoleTox -- involves the injection of botulinum toxin into the anal area. Its best-established use is therapeutic: for chronic anal fissure it relaxes the internal sphincter, and colorectal surgery guidelines place it alongside topical therapy as a first-line option, with healing in roughly two thirds of patients and meaningful pain relief in most. It is also requested for cosmetic smoothing of the perianal area, which is an off-label use with no published efficacy data, so we will not promise you a cosmetic result.
