Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is a medically supervised treatment designed to restore optimal testosterone levels in men experiencing low T. At The Barber Andrology, we take a comprehensive, evidence-based approach -- starting with thorough lab testing and a detailed health assessment, then creating a Protocols set from your labs that addresses your unique hormonal profile. Low testosterone affects energy, mood, muscle mass, sexual function, cognitive clarity, and overall quality of life. Our TRT programs are designed to safely restore your levels and help you feel like yourself again.
Who it is for
TRT is for men who have both symptoms of low testosterone and low levels confirmed on two separate morning blood draws. A single low reading is not enough -- roughly 30 percent of first low results come back normal on a repeat.
Protocol
What happens
Comprehensive initial consultation and symptom assessment
Two morning testosterone draws on separate days, plus a full panel (free T, SHBG, estradiol, LH, FSH, thyroid, metabolic markers, CBC, PSA where age-appropriate)
Reversible causes addressed first -- sleep apnoea, weight, medications, alcohol, opioids
Review of results and a written treatment plan, only if the diagnosis holds up
Begin treatment with your chosen delivery method (injections, creams, or pellets)
Follow-up labs at 6 to 8 weeks, then hematocrit and PSA at 3 to 6 months and annually after that
Ongoing management with quarterly check-ins
